In 2024, after nearly three decades working for a global technology giant,  I made some seriously life changing decisions!  I traded the hustle of Watford for the tranquillity of Chalford, a picturesque Cotswold village. I also embraced my passion for Social Value and bid authoring and founded the Social Value Bid Consultancy (SVBC).

Since the implementation of the Public Procurement Notice 06/20 in 2021, I have immersed myself in the Social Value field, contributing to over 30 bids ranging from £300k call-off contracts to multi-million-pound, long-term agreements spanning 15-20 years. My bid submissions consistently resonate with clients, achieving perfect scores and consistently outperforming competitors.

Independent consultants have praised my work, with one noting, "You are insanely good at writing these responses—yours are some of the best I've seen," and another remarking, "What an excellent document—clearly, a lot of work has gone into making this both comprehensive and customer-aligned."​

I specialise in designing bespoke Social Value programmes that align with the delivery organisation’s priorities and seamlessly integrate with clients' corporate strategies. It’s vital that Social Value is embedded throughout the entire solution lifecycle, ensuring that every programme is relevant, proportionate, and deliverable.

During the end to end bid process, I’ve been a key contributor in numerous client and partner sessions, even earning praise from DEFRA for providing a "very impassioned and impressive overview of the Social Value proposition."​

Beyond bid proposals, I offer training sessions to empower your Sales and Delivery teams with a deep understanding of the significance of Social Value in Public Procurement. As a champion for Social Value, I ensure that every team member recognises their role and feels engaged and enabled to make a meaningful impact.​Ultimately, Social Value is a critical procurement element and it is essential to get the responses right in order to build your reputation and continue to win and grow.
